The over the ear design is comfortable making them wearable for hours. The wireless range is an impressive 32′. The Urbanite XL’s also has phone controls and are sound isolating. The Sony Mdr-1000x’s are a great travel headphone that does compete with the Bose. They have great adaptive noise cancelling features that does a great job cutting out ambient noise. The rechargeable batter delivers up to 20 hours of audio playback. They also have the ability to produce Hi-Res Audio when wired. They also have this really cool feature called “Quick Attention Function.” It allows you to put your right hand over the right ear cup of the headphone and hear your surroundings or an important conversation. It comes with a nice carrying case as well.
